Bromberg is now known as Bydgoszcz in Poland. It was a big city in the province of Posen. As far as I know there was no big castle or mansion in the city. ipflo Which I take it means 'Castles in Poland' ? Does have on page 119 a picture of an ------------------ ------------------ ------------------ ------------------Elizabeth DeMartino My family fled Prussia in 1881 or so. They said Kaiser Wilhelm took their castle, on the Oder River. The town was called Bromberg. How can I research if the castle even remains and what happened back then? ipflo hi,

There is some decent detail there with
plenty of dates.
But as it is all in Polish!
