Shaggz1001Does anybody know the name of the castle shown in the movie "Army of Darkness"? or is it even a real castle?

Thanks For Your Help,

Michael

wurdsmiffYour question would have been better posted in the 'In The Movies Forum'. No castle is mentioned in the credits for the film, and all three locations for filming are in the USA. If you go to the forum mentioned(set it to show mails from last year) you will find a link to IMB , where you can look up the details of any film. Generally with this site, unless a specific castle is mentioned, you can assume that the set was constructed for the film.

Steve-O-GerstAh, same question I had. Somebody told me he thouht the matte paintings were of Castle Puivert. Puivert also featured in Army of Darkness. There's a thread on some Yahoo group about it. I can send you the link if I remember where I wrote it.

However, the entire film was made in California.

Have a look here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106308/board/thread/28178902?d=30885923#30885923

In answer to one of my questions, thus guy gave some details about the construction of the physical sets, which were all made in Acton Ohio.

Gimme a mouseclick if you hear anything else. Enormously bad movie. It deserves all the props it can get.
