[This message has been edited by wurdsmiff (edited 05-29-2000).]Leanna while living in germany when my husband was in the military i had the great oppurnity to visit probably over 100 castles. while there i saw a photo of a castle on a hill that was surrounded by water. i think it was the ocean. it was so awesome. when i asked where it was i thought they said Ireland, or England. it has been many years. but now that i have access to find it i cant remember. does anyone know what castle this may be. i want to go there to visit it someday. thanks for your help wurdsmiff You will appreciate that your description could cover a great many castles on these isles. There are many castles which are both well photographed and on hilly islands.
The most likely I would suggest would be St Michael's Mount in Cornwall England. The link below will lead to previous replies on this site. If this is not the one, I suggest you click on castle collections at the foot of the page and browse - though I'm sure other suggestions will follow.
