Picture of Castell Coch: Contact Details for Castell Coch: Admission times: Fees: Tours: It might be better to hire a car from Cardiff and drive to Castell Coch yourself. There's some stunning scenery around the castle. The Brecon Beacons are full of forests, wildlife, waterfalls you walk behind, and underground streams, which could never really be appreciated from a tour. It's a case of getting out and walking and exploring. [This message has been edited by Levan (edited 02-11-2001).]izzy55 I will be visiting from Las Vegas. I am trying to find a tour to take me to Castell Coch near Cardiff. Where it goes from is open, but I want the tour to include Castell Coch. Any information would help me on this end of the world. Thanks Peter Hi,
In all honesty I don't think you will find a tour taking in Castel Coch (though someone may come up with one for you).
I live in North Wales, and even here local touring firms just don't visit sites like that. Only the grander places (and I'm not saying that C.C. isn't) like Windsor, Chatsworth etc. tend to make it onto the tour scene.
It's just a fact of life that their are so many places to see, so the biggies are at the top of the list.
Good luck to you .. but !
Ciao PeterLevan Overview of Castell Coch:
Castell Coch was originally built in the 13th century but fell into ruins, and the present castle is the late-19th-century creation of William Burges and the 3rd Marquis of Bute.
