HOHENBURG: It is since 1345. To the 19th centery it became a ruin and was renovated. Julius von FICKER aus Paderborn (1826-1902) was it's owner and lived there in the 19th centery. How does it lookes like today? Who owned it in the 20th centery? TAXBURG: No information. The description by the plan explaines, that it is a fortifyed house, build on a hill. It was abandened in the 17th centery, than rebuild in 1877 and used as a summer residence, I think, by Julius von Ficher aus Paderborn before his death in 1902. Godfrey Is the schloss Hohenburg the same schloss that was used in the film "Where Eagles Dare".I have just watched a TV show on the making of the film but they said the schloss was called HOHENBERGEN. ipflo No in 'Where eagles dare' is an other austrian castle used: Hohenwerfen in Salzburg, Austria.
