sarahsmith I am looking for a castle in particular, that is supposed to be in Germany, however I am uncertain as to where to start searching. All I know is that it should be (if it is still there!) where the Neckar and the Rhein rivers meet, and it belonged to a Micheal Platz, (he left with his family because of a war early 1700´s). If anyone has any information, I would be very excited to receive it! Thanks! Merlin You don't have any name for the castle? The rivers Rhein and Neckar meet at Mannheim, and Mannheim had a big palace, residence of the 'Kurfürsten', but not built before the 1720's. Then there's the famous castle of Heidelberg, not far in the east of Mannheim at the Neckar. But I found nothing about a Michael Platz... sarahsmith Thank you for the information! I was wondering where you would suggest that I check to try and find records about this Micheal Platz, he is supposed to be a distant relative of mine, and it could very well be that there is no castle there, maybe just remains. Thanks!
