castleless is there a castle madoc in Brecon wales that can be visited? JAS13 No Castle Madoc, but there are two Castle Madog's in Breconshire; Castle Madog is a motte in the grounds of a private house at SO 024369 and Castle Madog ringwork lies in the same valley at SO 025370. Paul Remfry's excellent "Castles of Breconshire" gives a brief description of each. Regards, John AJR Castle Madoc is actually an alternative name for Castle Madog. I toured the area a few years ago, and obtained a photo of the place, which can be found at http://www.castleduncan.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=17&t=1170&st=0#entry12225
