I'm trying to identify a castle featured on a watercolour that I have just bought. Any ideas? Thanks! Thanks all the same! Great, I love mystery castle questions. At first sight it remembers me very much of the castle of Sion/ Sitten in Wallis, Switserland. But only on first sight, because as we look detailed at the picture and the pictures of Sion, we see many differences. Which I think are not the result from alterations from the last century. I would suggest the complex is somewhere in the south of France, due to a combination of the roofs and the gothic style of the church. regards, ipflo http://lescompagnons.ca/Image/chateau/sion-800.jpg I've had a look at a variety of fortified churches and cathedrals in the south of France, and there are indeed many similarities. I'll go on looking...scotchorama Hi!

No idea as yet
Peterscotchorama According to the architecture, I thought German, Swiss or Austrian. There is an outline of mountains (Alps ?) in the background. ipflo hi,
