This is my first post here. Last Saturday, I visited the 15th century castle of Manzanares el Real in Madrid, and I thought I should leave a message here. Overall it is a very nice castle with a surrounding barbican, well preserved, and only at 50 minutes from Madrid by bus. Visits cost 2 Euros. I am attaching some of the photos I took for my own website. Enjoy! José http://www.feelmadrid.com/manzanarescastle.html [This message has been edited by Jose (edited 10-30-2006).] Thanks for your photo's of Manzanares castle - a castle I haven't yet visited. It's good to see someone from Spain with an interest in Spanish castles on the group - they are a major interest of mine although I live in England. I try and get over to Spain as often as I can to visit castles there. Cheers Peter Last summer I visited El Escorial Monastery which is an amazing place, and now I want to visit the Alcazar of Segovia, one of the best castles in Spain without doubt. I will keep you all updated. By the way, you guys have a great site. I didn't know there was so much interest on castles around the world. Best, Jose Finally I visited Segovia 2 weeks ago and took some photos of the Alcázar. What a castle! I've been living in Spain for most of my live and I can't believe I didn't visit Segovia before. Photos here: http://www.feelmadrid.com/segovia.html Just scroll down to the bottom of the page. Enjoy!!! [This message has been edited by Jose (edited 01-17-2007).]Jose Hello everyone,
