LadyJayne I am a purveyor of knowledge (aka a teacher), and I'm working on creating a webquest for my apprentices, all of whom are in 5th grade (10, 11 years old). Any suggestions for ideas/sites that are definite "should see"s?

Just take from each of these two what suits the class.

We do of course provide our own School Projects Forum, where the kids can post requests for homework help, but please warn them, that if they have not already saught the answers they seek in earlier posts we will be of little help. We encourage them to do their own homework, and do not like to be asked the same questions again. Previous answers are available to those who look, and we don't like having to repeat ourselves. Read some of the old mails in that forum and you'll get the jist. There are a vast number of quite specific topics covered, and CQ already contains a vast amount of data within the old mails of all forums. Encourage then to use the search facility before posting, or read the advice given in 'New Posters Please Read' at the top of the Individual Castles Forum.

LadyJayne Thank you for the suggestions. I had found the Nat'l Geo site & thought my students would like it. I have since spent a few hours (won't tell you how many!) surfing, and have found other good sites in addition to the ones you mentioned. Thanks again!
