LeoI need to interview someone about Medieval games for a class project. Any suggestions??? I am able to do the interview via phone, e-mail or mail.
MerlinSorry, but I have no suggestion because I don't know the name of any experts on this topic. I started a post about the topic some time ago in this forum, maybe it contains a name or book that can help you to find someone:

toughguy12Leo, I don't know much about games. All I know is that at festivales, nobles would go on fox hunts.
Peter EsserA German Page about medieval games …

but the two contemporary illustrations show people playing chess and backgammon.

If you need a short summary in English, just let me know.

LevanThere's a group that re-create mediaeval life and do demonstrations of games, both activity games and board games and such like. You could even have a go yourself.

I saw the group at Stokesay Castle in Shropshire (UK) - perhaps they can help you to find more information.

This is called "experimental archeology", isn’t it?

deborahknowlesthey played pick-a-back and blind-man's-buff, if that's any help.
