taraMy 8 year old daughter has a project on a European castle. Although we are excited, we are easily becoming a bit overwhelmed in the search for our castle. My concern is that we have to make a model of chosen castle. Some of the castles that we have looked at on the net are amazing but I can't even think of how to attack the modeling.
Any recomendations of castles that might be of historic interest to an 8 year old little girl and on the moderate scale of modeling for her mom would be greatly appreciated. We are not afraid of a bit of a challange but would not like to bite off more than we can chew. (Suggestions of types of materials that you could use would be great. Thank you in advance for any help that you could offer.

Most castles are nothing like the fairytales, so it can be a little dissappointing when someone has the popular image in their mind.
Any further questions, feel free to ask. But try searching the forums first using the search facility at the top right of the page. It can give the answers much quicker than waiting for us to get around to it.
