------------------sheena Is there a difference between a Norman castle and a Concentric castle? Could you ewplain? Gordon A Norman Castle is simply a castle built by the Normans. Initially following the inasion, they tended to built Motte and Bailey castles, however as they established themselves they built in stone, and the styles developed from there.
