Maybe some members remember me from the past, as 3-4 years ago I took part in some discussions and I decided to present my then newly published book about Greek castles (unfortunately only in Greek).
Among the others, from my participation here I realized (stated clearly to me by some members) that there is a need for a English-speaking book about Greek medieval fortresses.
So, after 3 years of preparations I am very glad to share with you the news of the publication of "Castles in Greece", a high quality photobook with hundreds beautiful photos from dozens of well or less known castles in Greece. It was put together by two castle goers who constantly give a great amount of their time in order to visit, study and promote the Greek medieval fortresses.

It's a self fund project (only on a print-on-demand scheme for the moment) by authors and photographers with publishing experience from Greek and English market.
We are open of course to different opinions, so please don't hesitate to say what you think. You can preview the book (by flipping some of its pages), and be informed about this unique project by visiting the link given.
Our aim is to show that Greek castles are not inferior (in beauty and majesty speaking) comparing to medieval fortress of the most well-known (for their Middle Ages history) countries such as United Kingdom, Spain and Germany.
It's your call to say if we managed to meet our very demanding goal.

Please don't hesitate to share with me your thoughts, even if those are not positive.

Best,
Nikolaos Koumartzis.
