I need help finding out information on the tower of Annowre, the legendary enchantress who almost killed King Arthur. I would like to know how she lived, as well as information about her castle. Thank you, Eliza, age 10.

I'm not sure that there are any sites which are associated with this character. It is important to remember that the story of Arthur is a legend, which has been corrupted through out the centuries, and like all legends cannot be confirmed. There are many many sites throughout Britain which claim associations with Arthur, though the fact behind the legend is thin on the ground. There is enough to show that it was likely that someone existed upon whom the stories were based, however the modern version of the story is based upon romantic and fictitious versions written many centuries later.
We get many requests for data on the Arthurian legend here at CQ, you will find earlier replies by clicking on the links below. http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum4/HTML/000046.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum5/HTML/000013.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum7/HTML/000302.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum9/HTML/000069.html http://www.castlesontheweb.com/quest/Forum10/HTML/000059.html
and there's 'The Quest', http://www.uidaho.edu/student_orgs/arthurian_legend/welcome.html
for more info on the legend of Arthur, his friends and his foes.
