Overview of Castell Coch:
Castell Coch was originally built in the 13th century but fell into ruins, and the present castle is the late-19th-century creation of William Burges and the 3rd Marquis of Bute.Picture of Castell Coch:

I don't know about any formal tours - the Tourist Inforation Centre in Cardiff might be able to help.
It might be better to hire a car from Cardiff and drive to Castell Coch yourself. There's some stunning scenery around the castle. The Brecon Beacons are full of forests, wildlife, waterfalls you walk behind, and underground streams, which could never really be appreciated from a tour. It's a case of getting out and walking and exploring.
