hidoes any know where i can find pictures of the lost castle of edingen/ enghien in Hainaut-province in Belgium.
The castle was probably built in the 13th century and rebuilt in 1645. the owners were the dukes of arenberg. in the 17th century they transformed the forests around the castle to a world famous garden(which it still is). 1803-1808 the medieval castle is destroyed, only one tower, the chapeltower, seems to be saved (i am not sure). in 1913 a new castle is built for a belgian baron, who has bought the garden of the dukes of arenberg.
on the internet you can find many pics of the new castle of 1913 and of the garden.
for example at http://www.parcs-jardins.be/enghien/index.html
but i would like to find some pictures of the old medieval castle, which is destroyed in 1803-1808. so if some one could help to find some pictures, it would be great.
