I am looking for a castle in Scotland that my ancestors live in. It might be called Currie Castle, but I'm not sure. I have a picture of it but I can't find it. All I could find was a piece of paper that said,
"George Currie & Ann towers, Malcolm Currie, Ann Holiday, B. Glasgaw Lived in castle with Mom & Dad - Elizabeth Heath, George Holiday."
If anyone knows anything about this castle, I would apreciate you telling me.

hi

as far as I know there doesn't exist a Currie Castle in Scotland. There's only a castle site in Scotland called Currie Hill or Curriehill castle.

It belonged to the Skene familt. It was held against Mary, Queen of Scots, by the family. Sir John Skene of Curriehill was aprominent 16th-century lawyer, and appointed to the Supreme Court Bench in 1594. He was knighted and made a baronet of Novia Scotia. Other occupants included the Johnston Lord Warriston; James Anderson; General Thomas Scott; and John Marshall, lord Curriehill.

Well, i am not at all sure of the name. It could be Holiday castle, but I don't know. The names of the people who lived in it are the only things I'm sure of.

Ipflo is right.
Gordon lives there and is an author of Scottish castles.
Can you post your image in this web sites Gallery?
Some one might be able to match it with a known site.

I posted my picture on the Archive. And Ann Holiday didn't live there in the middle ages. It was after that. I'm sorry I don't have very much information, but I think you castle experts out there will be able to identify this castle if you see it.
It's under "Scottish Castles", and the album is called "Castle".
