I have seen some decent sites about Japaneese castles, but life inside? Time for some research... Maria Moderator posted 10-17-2004 02:51 PM             One thing I found, which only makes me more curious... it was on television... the sultan had a special chamber in his castle where the male heirs to the throne were kept(brothers, uncles but I don't know about sons, I think not). It was a lot like a prison. Sometimes, when the sultan died and one of the prisoners became sultan, he was mentaly unstable because of the life in that chamber(in dark, they had only little light)
