I am seeking information on how to build a castle for a school project. What is the best way to go about it and/or making it? I have heard other students say they are using sugar cubes, styrofoam, cardboard, etc. Which is the best way, that will make a believable and good looking castle? |

There is not one best material to use to build a school project. STay away from sugar cubes they fall apart when moved and attract vermin. Styrafoam is expensive. What makes a project look good is details. The more you include the better you project will be. I recommend to my students to use basic cardboard and paper mache. Foam core boad also works well but you will need to use a craft knife to cut it. There is a type of spraypaint that imitates stone. It looks good when used. Just do not use spraypaint on styrafoam . It will melt the styrafoam. Remember details. Jane Dickey |

Take a look at the model making forum - there are lots of suggestions there. You may need to change your Castle Quest settings so that you can see older postings. Levan |
