Since I don't speak french this a little difficult but try starting at http://www.culture.fr/culture/culture.htm the official site of the french ministry of culture and emailing them for suggestions. Other than this try surfing the web using search strings like "chateaux fort" or "forteresse medievale" the first got me a few links to individual castles sites written in french.

Bon Chance

Or try the Search Option on Castles on the Web with the words "french". This'll get you some links to castlesites in french.

Strangely enough a brand new page (in French) has just been added to the COTW lists! Coincedence or what?

Search with "www.altavista.com" it will translate the sites found from English to French. - Try it on - "tamworthcastle.freeserve.co.uk"
