I've been trying to drag up specific research about castles and strongholds. What im interested in knowing is what materials where used if blueprints can be dredged up and an idea of how long yer average castle took to build. Any help would be nice or a friendly shove in the right direction.

Well, for what it's worth, I know of another message board that's pretty good for things like your particular problem!! I suggest trying the message board on www.castlesoftheworld.com
Go to the questions and answers page at the bottom go the home page!! I've already asked for info on your subject from some friends who are very literate on subjects such as this and as soon as I get any info, I'll let you know!!

True, their are always others that will do your home work for you but isn't better to gather the facts on your own?
As i suggested. Take some time to read the back posts and if their is nothing that will help then ask us again.

I'm a bit mystified that you were unable to find a materials list. I know the cost questions are a little more rare but they too are there as are the topics of materials.
Did you do an indepth search or set the box that says "show topics" to all?
The reason for not posting the same question more then once is the moderaters read all forums and can edit/prune/delete or move at will so to save every one unnecessary effort we ask members to post only once on the start of any given topic, it saves you the trouble also.

You are most welcome and I'm happy if I've helped in any way!! True, that we should do our own homework and then ask for help. I apologize for my lack of thought!!! Search engines hate me also as I have been dealing with the same problem on a particular castle.
I'll work on finding some things for you if I can!!
