Hello. We are in search of personal address labels which have a photo of a castle on them. Does anyone know of a site which has a selection of castle address lables. We used to get them from Colorful Images but the castle lable has been discontinued. Thank you for any help you may provide.

I don't know of any existing sites where you can get this sort of thing done. However, I'd have thought it should be well within the abilities of most graphic designers. If you can't find anything ready-made, please feel free to contact me with your specific requirements, and I'm sure I could help you out. Hm! As Leven has said, these are easy enough to do once you have bought your sticky labels. I use them my self. 14 labels to a sheet is a nice size with an address on. |

As a friendly reminder, use your own images or those that are free ware on the net and most folks wont mind if asked. A very large amount of images are being digitally water marked so they can be traced across the internet or used in court for copy right violations.

Duncan's right about being careful about copyright. Personally, I would always check before using a picture, even if it's not specifically labelled as copyright - whatever the legal position, it's just good manners!Having seen some of my photos used in a commercial presentation by a company proposing an extensive building development (which I was known to oppose) I have started using digital watermarks. I figured this was preferable to spoiling my photos by using poor quality size/resolution or by sprawling text over the pictures. Like many who post pictures on the net, I'm happy for folks to use my photos for personal purposes such as in school essays and reports; even then, I consider it good form to ask permission and to acknowledge the source. Similarly, I'm unlikely to charge someone for using my photos on small-scale print-runs such as personal address labels; however, I would definitely expect to be asked first! In contrast, if I find my photos used commercially without permission, I'm very likely to seek legal redress and compensation. Levan

Thank you very much for your replies. If we do not find a comapny where we can order ready made castle labels we can look into haveing our own designed. We did have a castle designed for as our logo for our letterhead. Perhaps we can use that castle. The castle we used before it was discontinued was nice and not expensive. I think it would be nice that all our castles matched. |
