Hi folks. Theres a problem Im trying to solve. Goes like this: I go to the book nook because Im wondering what book would have the best explaination of one imparticular topic or castle aspect and don't see an easy way of finding it. Seems method of categorization is mainly by geography. Nothing wrong with that, but I was curious to find out if there had ever been an assortment of book content by subject or a "best book that covers topic X" list?
Would the format of the bulletin board make it difficult to put it on this site?

To bring some kind of order into the 'book nook' is an almost impossible task. AJR tried his best, but as long as the 'book nook' is programmed as a forum and not built up like a proper archive, there's no chance that things will get any better. To build up a book-archive, with topic-search functions etc. would give someone work for weeks, esp. if all the data that is already there should be included... |

Same problem in most forums.
Any discussion forum like CQ creates it's own problems when attempts are made to use it as a reference source. Best way is a filing system which suits the most common types of post, hence regional in the Book Nook. The search facility becomes invaluable. Specific topic matters might produce results from many forums. But as always, we are at the mercy of the members, since you decide the forum, title and subject matter. We can shuffle and edit and move to appropriate forums, but it can be work intensive and expensive as our on-line time may be charged dependant upon our servers.------------------
