I found that Roman fortification I was talking about a while back in that defensive weapons topic. It wasn't in britain but in gaul. Julius Ceaser built it during his Gallic Wars fighting celts. AN awesome fortification!

10 miles wide! The romans thought big just like every thing else they built. 25 redoubts too! I think that they built a reconstructd section of the roman fortification. I need to see it someday.

Asterix and Obelix are famous comicbooks in Europe about two Gauls who live around 50BC in a small village, which is still holding out against the Romans. And in every album they irritate the Romans and Julius Caesar in particular. In the albums they mention Alesia often as the chieftain has fought there and does not want to be remember of it.
