Maybe its not how far you got but that you tried.
Who knows, someday you might want to persue it further in collage.
Its good work if you can get it. hmmm... I think i remember R. Heinlein saying something like that in one of his books.
Light the fire and wheres the scotch, wooops!
how about putting the kettle on for some tea, you did say you had cakes.

It's true - starting is always the highest hurdle to take if you're going to write a story. Doesn't matter if it should be a shortstory or a whole book. I did both while I was a student and now I do it almost every day as a newspaper journalist (well, not the books, but the stories).
But the difference is: There's no way of telling your editor that tomorrows frontpage will be blank because I couldn't kick myself hard enough in the back to write the first few words...

Forward planning is the key, before you start writing plan the plot, create a structure of items or incidents, and have a purpose for each section. Create the bones and the flesh is easier to shape....sounds like something from Frankenstein now!

Thats the problem, I always just have a vague clue in my head of what to write lol

Anyway, who'll go to the store for a kettle and some tea, and maybe something to heat the kettle with as well

Hey, here's an idea, we could start a story here, I just forgot how to call it, such a story that one start and then another guy writes another piece, and then a 3rdc guy writes something, etc etc, idea?

You're getting over-excited duncie... Now who will start the story, of course it has to be in the middle ages, but fantasy is allowed

Thats your living room? Cool
Well, fantasy like Elves (not the tiny ones with wings and stuff, but Tolkien's elves ) I want to be one.

There, so the story will start in Dunc's living room, now we need names...

I will be... hm... I got dosens of ideas, I'll come back to that later lol

Just to let you know that many different types of Elves were and are said to exist, of course depending on who you are speaking with and how many drinks they may have had.
The fair folk and the smaller ones of Fairy may prove interesting to you fox as you like Tolkien's Elves so well.

Try the broom in the corner behind the door.
Ware!!! it was used last night to clobber a skunk on the porch. Door to door salesmen are the worst type.

I have a vacuum cleaner - you're always welcome to use it.

I know what you mean about formatting pc's. Always takes time, deletes interesting files and leaves behind the unwanted ones. Good luck with the new format - does it work any better ?
