I am looking for information about two castles: Hohenburg and Taxburg. They are situated by the village Igls in Tirol (Insbruck Land), Austria. I am interested more in finding pictures of this castles, but any other information will be also appreciated. This is what I already know about this castles:

HOHENBURG: It is since 1345. To the 19th centery it became a ruin and was renovated. Julius von FICKER aus Paderborn (1826-1902) was it's owner and lived there in the 19th centery. How does it lookes like today? Who owned it in the 20th centery?

TAXBURG: No information.

Thank you for the plan of the Hohenburg castle. The description by the plan explaines, that it is a fortifyed house, build on a hill. It was abandened in the 17th centery, than rebuild in 1877 and used as a summer residence, I think, by Julius von Ficher aus Paderborn before his death in 1902.

Thank you for trying Taxburg.

Is the schloss Hohenburg the same schloss that was used in the film "Where Eagles Dare".I have just watched a TV show on the making of the film but they said the schloss was called HOHENBERGEN.

Here's another site about the Hohenburg, with some German info. http://www.aeiou.at/aeiou.encyclop.h/h771134.htm
Couldn't find any mention at all about the Taxburg on any site or searchengine.

"But round about the castle there began to grow a hedge of thorns, which every year became higher...."
