Author Topic:   inside a castle Robin Member posted 08-27-2003 09:03 PM          I am interested in learning (seeing) what the inside of a castle looks like, for decorating reasons. Does anyone know of a good book with pictures in it that would help me, I would be really happy to hear from you. thanks! ------------------ deborahknowles Senior Member posted 08-29-2003 03:00 PM             I've got a book called Discovery; Castles by Barbara Taylor, published by Hermes House (it's a kid's book). It has a wonderful picture of a castle interior on page 16. There's a sort of mural and loads of stars. You can get tapestries from companies like Past Times in UK. But the fotographs with that mix of medieval furniture and modern lifestyle are realy awful! Medieval style and the comfort of a modern bathroom just don't fit together... I did this very cool stone blocking pain technique...very easy to do and it looks amazing and the rod iron candle sconces really set it off! If interested, I can let you know how I did it. Lady Jane
