wolfIn the castle that I hope to make, I hope to save up $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ (millions-billions) and build the castle that David Macaulay describes in the book "Castle". I'll start by buying land and land and land. I also plan to do it the old way... i.e. put mortar inbetween the stones. Even though i'm going to do it the old way, my castle will have electricity, telephone, and other major neccessities. I've allready decided that my castle will by on the Penobscott river in maine.

Please respond, also please email me your blue prints, so i can get an idea about what everybody else is doing.

DreamWarriorHey Wolf! Start by taking a close look all around this site, especially the forums to get an idea of what people are doing. Also, on the Castles on the Web home page, there are many links to member sites and other very useful information that will help you find the info you need.

I would also suggest taking a look through the "Castle Glossary" linked at the bottom of this page. Go through it and decide what elements you want your castle to have (granted, you probably know many of yours already, but you may want some revisions too). Don't try to design the shape of the building before knowing what parts you want. I have found numerous times that this doesn't work.

Another great site to look at is www.castlewales.com .

Hope that helps!,
