AriesI hope to one day own a Renaissance Faire and to use the earnings to build a castle on the site. I would like to have it in New England because of the population concentration. I'm looking for others who would be interested in doing a joint sort of thing to get it all started. I'll be looking at ariel photographs inorder to pick a location. The castle must be on sort of a raised area preferabbly rock, with the town (faire) below it. Costs of buying the property and taxes are what I need suggestions about. Please email me if you would be interested in such a project.
duncanOn the net are several others that are supposedly doing the same thing. You might check with the banks for the feasiblety of your project. The high cost of insurence and property are two major problems your have to over come. Most owners will not rent for a public event or their cost is prohibitive. Our castle is still under construction and we have turned people down repeatedly. This is not to say that you might not find someone to help you, its to let you know about some of the problems you face.
