This invloves the landscape of castles, along with churches. gardens, monastries etc.
And for all those family questions;

by J. Rickard. 516-pages. Ł60.
This fantasic book pulls on all sources to list castle owners, personnel, constables etc. Should stop a few arguments !
And if your budget is like mine;
Medieval Castles. by O Creighton & R Highman.
from the great Shire series. Everything those in the School Forum want to know for a mere Ł5. 99:
And one of the longest titles ever !

Which really does cover everything conected with the subject. A 954-pages @ Ł155. 00.

Peter Welllllll, the sources book at Ł60: is very tempting. And Oxbow do owe me about Ł20 from a failed order. But it is still a lot of loot.
