PAWI'm looking for pictures of doorways, arcways, or where walls meet the ceiling and have the fancy semi-circle.
Thanks
wurdsmiffSee McGibbon & Ross, The Castellated & Domestic Architecture of Scotland (1887), published as a facsimilie reprint by James Thin of Edinburgh. This will give you a plethora of pencil drawings of features including those you are looking for.
Philip DavisOnline there are a vast number of sites featuring photos of medieval buildings but none appear cataloged by architectural features so you will have to browse to find what your looking for two good starting places are Net Serf at http://netserf.cua.edu/architecture/ for a good set of organised links and http://www1.pitt.edu/~medart/index.html which has a good illustrated glossary of medieval architectural terms (good, but not quite excellent - a leader in a field of one)
