Gordon. [This message has been edited by wurdsmiff (edited 09-16-2000).]Shuggles Greetings,
Was great to find your internet site. I have only briefly explored your site, will do that later when I have more time to enjoy myself.
Now to the reason I'm writing to you. I would love to build a castle looking home. Probably just a castle looking exterior with modern interior. But locating pictures and designs that are of the grand design of beautiful castles around the world but of a scale I could build are hard to locate.
I would be really appreciative if you could point me in the direction of and sites or literature that could help me. wurdsmiff First do some studying, and examine which style you would prefer. There are a huge variety of castle styles. Follow the link at the bottom of the page to Castle Collections.
For floorplans try Philip Davis site at http://www.castlesontheweb.com/members/philipdavis/index.html
and for a detailed look at an individual site, Levan provides good detail of his own home at http://fp.kirkburn.f9.co.uk/castlelevan/
For a huge variety from Scotland try http://scottishculture.about.com/culture/scottishculture/library/blcastlesindex.htm
and in Wales http://www.castlewales.com/home.html
Europe.. http://users.bart.nl/~mot/castle/castle.html
The design will have to come from you, though you will find good advice in all of the forums here, try reading the old mails by working through the forums with preferences set for all mails.
