------------------ http://www.castlesontheweb.com/members/philipdavis/index.html Laura My son is 3 and a half and DESPERATELY wants a castle in his back yard. His daddy has promised him that, and now everyone that comes to see our new house, he shows them the back yard and says "My daddy is going to build me a castle!!!!" Does anyone have or know where to find blueprints for such a thing. He wants flags on it and everything, so I will need to know if anyone knows of where to find accessories for this too. I;m not talking HUGE, but decent for my 2 sons to be able to use for many years to come, along with neighbors. My husband was a class A contractor (can build a house from the ground up), so skill level is not an issue. Any info would be most helpful! Thanks for your time, as does my son who just peeked in and wanted me to make sure I had noted that he wanted to make sure there would be flags on top. Thanks! And Happy New Year! duncan Try Philips homepage for good ideas, http://www.castlesontheweb.com/members/philipdavis/index.html
maybe something will help.Philip Davis To be honest I don't think you'll get much help from looking at real castle plans. I'd get you're son to draw a picture of what he wants and try and work from that. I know at two his drawing skills won't be brilliant and you might have to help. Ultimately you are going to end up building basically a square tower in either wood and board (painted to look like stone) or a lightweight building block (what I, in the UK, would call a breeze block.). If it looks a bit ramshakle it will probably just add to the castle feel (that's what I like about some castle ruins)
And the astronomyours beheldyne the constellacions of hys bryth by thare castle, and foundyn that he sholde bene wyse and curteyse, good of consaill
