AngelsSnowboard for a school project I have to alter my school building, and turn it into a castle. I have to make blueprints, make a 3d model, and describe what changes I made, why, and why did people a long time ago use it. for the actual building, I was wondering if anyone has found blueprints of the palace of doge, aka palazzo ducale, in venice, italy. if not, could you please direct me as to the major rooms of the castle. like a great hall, i know that's where they ate, but is that where they danced and had parties too?
also, if you don't have the palazzo ducale, do you know of any other palace, manor, or castle floorplans detailed enough to make a model with internal walls? (and possibly knowing what room's what, to add beds, chairs, tables, etc accordingly)

'alter the school building'? Sounds a terribly ambitious and dangerous project. What exactly do you mean by that?

AngelsSnowboard thanks, by altering we have to, get the blueprints of the school, add walls, (we're not allowed to chop any of it off) then build a scale model that looks like a castle in the project. i think the whole building the castle thing is fun, but by changing our school i think is just a waste of time, hehe.
Gordon I think it'd be easier for you if you kept all your questions together, we read all the forums, and you are probably going to get answers from the same people.
Your project as I said sounds terribly ambitious, and altering a modern building to look like something much more ancient sounds terribly ambitious. You are going to have to use a lot of imagination, and we can't see your school or convert it for you.
The cost itself, or even the amount of materials required are likely to be enormous, and I think the model idea you expressed elsewhere is a more practical idea. How many of you are doing this project, and do your teachers realise the scale of what you intend?
