I have no personal knowledge of the building, but this information should give you an idea of where to look. I suggest that you check out the population census returns, which are available for every ten year period between 1841 and 1891. These will tell you exactly who was living in the building each time the census was taken. Every person in the country was included in the census.

owned a castle somewere in England. The family name is Woodford. If anyone knows anything or has any suggestions about were or how i can find some infomation please help me.Geoff I checked my books and found that there was a Woodsford Castle in the county of Dorset, England, between the towns of Frome and Dorchester. It was built in the fourteenth century but fell into ruin. The remains were incorporated into a house by Lord Ilchester in the nineteenth century.
