debbiejoGreetings to all!
I'm trying to find information to substantiate a verbal family history regarding a "RITTEL" family castle in Germany. It is said that this castle was still standing after WWII. By virtue of a genealogy written in German, I believe that the castle may be in the Koblenz (Coblenz) area or the Mosel River region. Another family member says the RITTEL family came from the Alsace-Lorraine area. It is believed that the name of the castle was "Rittelhoff" Castle (or something sounding like that. The "RITTEL" name in the genealogy is also seen as RUTEL, RITTLE, RIDELL, and RITTELL. I'd really like to find the actual name and location of this castle. I hope someone on this site may have some information or can lead me to a source that may help. I'm really at a brick wall here. Many thanks, in advance.

Here is a link to some of the many castles in Germany. Although I did not find the castle you mentioned, there are many links and resources to draw from this web site. Good luck on your quest. http://www.roadstoruins.com/Table.html
