------------------lee hi im looking for info on a castle called hutton it's in berwickshire. thanks lee Gordon Hutton castle stands 2 miles south east of Chirnside, just south of the Whitesadder water. It is also known as Hutton Hall, and incorporates a 16thc tower house, amongst many extensions. It was a property of the Home family, and at one point in the 16thc was destroyed by the English. This was the home of Sir William Burrell, who gifted his collection to the City Of Glasgow. If so, then three rooms from the castle were stripped and reconstructed within the museum in Pollok Park Glasgow. It is complete as he left it, with expected antiquities in situ. http://www.magiccarpetjournals.com/glasgow.htm
