B H Anyone ever heard of "Clair Castle" in
Clair county Irland?
A Knight Clarecastle in County Clare?
The castle dates back to 1250 when it was built by Robert de Musegros. Substantial elements remains and when I visited the site in 1996 I gained access to the top of the one remaining tower. Some information and an arial view is in Clare - County of Contrast by Sean Spellissy.
