I Wood I know this castle existed in 1945 - no knowledge if it is simply a ruin- I don't think so. I know a gate exists as I have a photo. Has anyone seen or heard of this castle please

Gordon Sorry, after an extensive search of castle data bases, I had assumed that this place may be one of the many mansion houses given the title 'castle' for aesthetic reasons. Even then I cannot find it listed on the most extensive list of country houses.
Are you sure that the name is spelt correctly? Or does the site have an alternate name? Any further details may help us to solve your mystery.
