Castle bought by Wm Walter of Trefran in 1600. It allegedly changed hands several times during Civil War. Lucy Walter, born at Roch castle in 1630, alleged mistress to CHarles II - mother of Duke of Monmouth.
Information was received over 20 yrs ago by now deceased relative. Would like to verify & learn more about heritage.AJR Check the following for additional info
