Peter EsserThis first one like a very fine Palace.

Obviously there had been a predecessor building before: a tower which relicts can be seen in the palace kitchen.

But it doesn’t look like having been blown up during world war II.

The second link talks about a romanesque castle which has been destroyed during the »Bauernkriege« (peasant wars) in the 16th century. But if you count a »Dieter the Ganglion« among your ancestors? But the last relicts had been carried away in 1959 when a highway was built.

(Have you got any more information about the region, city, etc? So you could ask in the city or region archive.)
