Does some one know where I can find information on Kozienice castle in Poland? It appears to be a castle of the Polish kings. thanks in advance, ipflo foud this at http://www.poland-tourism.pl/r1.asp?ld=EN&tf=GB&gc=PL14 They also have a map.. not a very good one. If there is a forest, perhaps what you're looking for is some sort of hunting mansion? thx for the reply. I learnt about Kozeniece, while reading a book about the last king of Poland by Adam Zamoyski (who also wrote 1812). It mentions it as a favourite estate of king Stanislaw Poniatowski. In another book I found out that in Kozeniece several Polish kings lived and were born. So I presumed that there was or is a castle. It also can be a humting mansion. To be honest I have no clue, and also my knowledge of Polish is probably not what is should be ipfloipflo hi, Maria I don't seem able to find anything... Are you sure it's a castle?(I get lots of stuff about a forest and a plant... not much luck) Maria A most interesting, although not much visited place, is the biggest town of southern Mazovia – Radom. A medieval old town with precious churches in the Gothic style have been preserved here. The local museum is famous for the collection of Jacek Malczewski’s paintings and the Museum of the Rural Areas of the Radom Region Near Radom makes its guest more familiar with the rich culture of the local peasants. Near Radom tourist are invided to the ancient Kozienice Forest – today a venue of eco and agrotourists. In old Szydłowiec (the castle, the town hall and church in the Gothic style) you can visit a unique Museum of Folk Musical Instruments and in the not-too-distant Orońsk – the Polish Sculpture Gallery in the area of the palace and park complex. The museum in Przysucha is devoted to Oskar Kolberger, a prominent researcher of Polish culture, and the museum in Czarnolas to Jan Kochanowski, an eminent Renaissance poet. Iłża, at the foot of the castle hill, also known as the pottery manufacture center is waiting to be discovered by tourists as well as painters. ipflo Hi,
