I bought a watercolour print that is over 150 years old but the seller did not know the name of the castle.....HELP....anybody know where it is...looks like scotland because of the hills but perhaps IReland..... http://www.castlesontheweb.com/photoarchive/index.php?action=album&id=1361&sessionid=e2be3de861fa62e89f42222a07d4383a Aiken Drum Do you know the artist?
There are two distinct Scottish possibilities, not too far from one another. Both need a little artistic licence, Rosslyn, and Hawthornden. I'd go for the former, if indeed this is a genuine castle.Redcoat I was just at Rosslyn Chapel and visited the castle....Really don't think there is a resemblance....thanks though....
