I'm new here, and I have some questions. I am really interested about castles, but there in not many literature in my language (jaeh, sorry because my terrible english) so I would be really happy, if anyone can help me.

1. I want to know all about life in castle. I am interested about a life of high aristocracy (princess, prince, king, queen...) the most. Is that true that they didn't do anything alone, and that they could do anything (kill a person, if they didn'n like him...). What was a usual day in castle? Did they sleep so long, that they want? Anything!

2. What was the school timetable like? What did they learn about? I heard, that they learn music and combat, too. What else?

3. How was with good fashion in the castle? What was right and what not?

4. Then I am interested about women's clothes. Those, that they wear on balls. What were they made from? In which colors were they?

5. And what was whit rituals on castle? Was there any special ritual for chrismas, birthday, wedding, birth, death,...

Well, I know, that is a very long message, but i would be very happy, if anyone can halp me.

Don't imagine balls were something regular in castles (feasts were - balls came a bit latter).
As you are asking many complex questions, I suggest you chech the older posts. Afterwards, if you haven't found the answers you were loking for, let us know and we'll help you.

deborahknowlesHi, don't know if this helps but I know that women wore green or blue wedding dresses. Purple was only for royalty (and red I think?) Squires ie trainee knights were expected to be able to ride, joust, swordfight, wrestle, draw, write poetry, dance, and maybe write or sing songs too!
