Tyr KamikazeCould anyone help me find some information on the architecture of castles. The San Digo library is terrible and the web has only been full of dissapointing simplistic sites.
HELP!!!!

duncanExactly what part are you looking for?
Philip DavisThis topic comes up from time to time and I always wonder if people are looking for information on architecterial styles as applied to castles (ie Romanesque blind arcading) or architecterial components of castles (ie Gatehouses, halls and keeps) or specific defensive structure of castles (ie Battlements, machiolations etc.). I suppose they want the lot, but this makes it very difficult to answer since I don't really have the typing skills to write a complete book in an hour or so.

However I suggest you look at the answers in the following forums.

Philip DavisWell thank you. I hope you didn't mind to much being pointed to previous answers rather than getting a direct answer.
