------------------ If these drawings are insufficiently detailed (due to scan resolution) please let me know - although the originals are huge, so you'd be best trying to work with the ones on the web if you can! Levan [This message has been edited by Levan (edited 08-14-2002).]BrianCAD Hello, my name is Brian and I am in an AutoCAD class in Alabama USA. We are going to do a group project this quarter and we thought it would be interesting to make a floorplan of a castle in the CAD program. The problem is that we have been surfing websites for acurate floorplans with dimentions to use for our project but with no success. If there is anyone out there that could help us out it would be much aprechiated. O, and the sooner the better! (we have till 8-8-02 to find something) Thanx in advance!! Gordon There are a variety of catle plans and drawings on my web site linked below. Sift through them, some have scales in feet. They may be a little difficult to read on some, but this is purely because I had to limit the size of the images, but they may help. There are also a few floor plans in the relevant section of the Photo Archive, linked at the foot of the page.

Visit; Gordon's Scottish Castles Resource Page BrianCAD wow thats alot of castles gordon. The problem is that its realy hard to draw an accurate castle without proper dimentions like wall thickness, square feet of the rooms, angles of walls and such. Our instructor doesnt want us making our own numbers up so we had to move on to a plain ol modern house. Although I would like to follow up with this next quarter in my 3D modeling class, where i can make a truely beutiful full scale 3D rendered Castle with animation. So if there are any castle lovers out there who would realy like to see there favorite castle rebuilt in 3D i will let you view and display my finished work for free in exchange for a floor plan as detailed as you can find. Including pictures, elevations, and any dimentions you can muster. (full detail is not required for the 3D one.) I will make a new post when my next quarter starts and i will have a finnished work by january. Let me know in advance if your interested, becuase im quite excited about it.

thnx!Levan Architect's drawings, including plans and elevations are available on our web site. Not all drawings have dimensions (metric), but there should be enough information to interpolate the dimensions that are missing.
