DragonPearlHello all!

I'm new to the boards, but I'm glad to be here and see that so many others find the same joy in castles that I do!

Now, my question today is this. Where can I go about finding floorplans for specific castles?

In specific, I need a very basic floorplan and outline of the grounds of Alnwick Castle to build a gingerbread house.

Technically, I'm not the one that needs it, my daughter does. She is a sophmore in highschool and wants to be a chef. It's her intention to go to Johnson and Wales Culinary Arts School after graduation. They have an annual scholarship competition (I guess that's what you'd call it!) and the subject matter is always a gingerbread house.

We wanted to build Hogwarts School of Magic, and since the first two movies were set at Alnwick, what better place to start?

Anyway, if anyone has an idea on where we could find a basic floorplan of the castle, I'd really appreciate it! I've gone through every link to Alnwick that I could find, but there doesn't seem to be floorplans made public.

I've been tempted to use a castle out of the Palladium RPG system, but that's more or less our last resort.

Thanks for listening!

LevanYou could try contacting Alnwick Castle - their guidebook will have a floor plan. In the case of Alnwick, there is also a student resource pack available.

Usually, the official guides for castles in the UK are very reasonably priced.

Here's the contact information for Alnwick:

Hope this helps
