I've just ordered some books from a very pleasant lady at Castle Bookshop This is worth checking out. Unfortunately she didn't have a copy of The Rise of the Castle by M W Thompson although she did tell me she had been talking to him last week and saying how in demand the book is so perhaps it might get republished. The copy of Castellarium Angelicum in there online catalogue has, unfortunately, already been sold. I was suprised that they had a copy and not the least suprised to discover they had a long waiting list. Anyway seems a good place to ask for that old tome you've always wanted.------------------ And the astronomyours beheldyne the constellacions of hys bryth by thare castle, and foundyn that he sholde bene wyse and curteyse, good of consaill Secreta Secretorum Visit Castellarium Philippis |

Andy Knight e-mailed me about this book on 18th February - I can confirm that I was NOT the one who purchased it, unfortunately. Maybe another time.------------------ The broken stones, the ruined walls, 'Tis few who know where hist'ry falls.

Nic & Eva Moore (and daughter Susan), are old customers of mine. The have only been down Welshpool way a year or so. Their first shop was in Holt, where they took the castle name from & their logo. Sadly they are now really too far away to do work for. But I suggest everyone who doesn't, does visit their web-site, as they do have a seperate castles listing. | |
