Poor old movie section ! U.K. tv showed 'the Man in the Iron Mask' a few days ago. Internal parts of the film could be shot in a studio. But there was nice glimpses of a very rustic castle, fortified farm, or what. Reminded me of such places in Normandy. Though it could just as easily been Poland or Albania etc. Any ideas anyone ? |

In the 1998 version, with de Caprio as King Louis, the following castles were used; Fontainebleau Castle, France Pierrefonds Castle, France Vaux-le-Vicomte Castle, France There were 4 versions of this film, two of them from 1998. Hopefully this is the one you're after Peter. For further details on the other films, go to http://us.imdb.com/ [This message has been edited by Gordon (edited 04-15-2001).] |
